Serpil Çetinçift works in the EBRD’s SME Finance and Development Group as the Regional Principal Manager- Advise for Small Businesses for Turkiye and Azerbaijan. She leads a team of SME advisory project specialists who innovate and implement SME support programmes funded by various donors such as the EBRD, the EU, and Turkiye.
Serpil has led special initiatives since 2014, including the Turkey Women in Business Programme, which has provided business advice, mentoring, coaching, a series of business-skill development training, and networking opportunities to over 4.000 women entrepreneurs in Turkey. She also oversees the EBRD’s Turkiye refugee response programme, which was established in direct response to the Syrian crises. The response focuses on economic resilience and inclusion, in line with the EBRD’s core mandate.
Serpil currently oversees SME support programmes aimed at assisting SMEs in increasing their digital, green, and inclusive maturity levels in Turkiye and Azerbaijan.
Serpil has a Bachelor of Science in Management from Middle East Technical University as well as a Business Advisor Assessor Award from SFEDI / ILM (Level 4 certificate).
